This is a unique multi-use tool used for digging, prepping soil, planting and weeding. It has 2 indestructible razor sharp sides. The hoe side is 2.5" for wider digging and the pickaxe side is 1" to focus on slicing through hard or clay soil and tough weeds and roots such as bamboo. Once you own this tool you will wonder how you lived without it.
The head is made from carbon steel and is heated to Rc-45 (very hot) for exception strength. It has a reinforced weld which attaches to the seasoned solid wooden Beech handle. The mid-length handle is 15" long and 4" round and feels very secure and comfortable in your hand. At 16 ounces it is just the right weight to provide leverage without tiring out your back and hands.
It was designed 50 years ago by a logger & blacksmith based on a tool used to plant trees in forests. The tradition of making this tool has been passed down in their family of avid gardeners. Each tool is made in a little shop by hand and takes several hours to produce. It is exceptionally built and is intended to be passed down to generations of family gardeners.
